Post 6: Postgraduate Studies

I would like to take the course because having a specialization, master's or doctorate degree makes professionals more qualified to take on challenges at the work level and perform in complex positions that require knowledge and skills that are not acquired at the undergraduate level, in addition to increasing remuneration levels by 30%. It will also allow me to increase my knowledge in the field that really interests me, in order to be able to become a person with a lot of knowledge. All of the above reasons translate into greater possibilities for the person who does postgraduate studies to consolidate professionally and reach a better standard of living, not only in economic terms but also intellectually.

The subject I would like to study is criminal psychology, which is dedicated to elaborate the psychodiagnosis with the intention to foresee a prognosis and consider an adequate treatment by studying the personality of the criminal. Likewise, criminological psychology integrates the therapeutic work aimed at modifying the subject's antisocial behavior.

The truth is that I am not sure if this can be studied here in Chile, I understand that only forensic psychology is here, in that case I would like to study in another country but hopefully online, that is to say I would like to be able to access to study criminal psychology but online since I do not want to leave the country.

Post 1: A country you would like to visit

I would like to go to Cuba because I would love to visit my uncles and cousins who are from there. I know that their food is very good, that the people are very loving, they like to dance a lot, in fact I know a lot about Cuba because my dad is from there. I would like to go to their beaches, go out dancing, go to Old Havana, to their museums, etc. In 2018 I thought about going to study there but the style and quality of life is very different compared to Chile. Although I love its culture and it is a beautiful country it is not a place where I would like to work or live, because at the country level it is in a very complicated situation, there is a very big social discontent, it is difficult to find medicine, transportation is difficult to take, it is difficult to find certain types of food, the internet connection is very little and it is also very expensive, etc. So I find that it is a nice country to go as a tourist but not to live there.

Post 3: Mental health Problems related to a lockdown

  With the measures of being isolated in order to manage COVID 19 I have felt my stress and anxiety increase, especially frustrated about not being able to go to college. This has caused me to feel chest pains, shortness of breath, grief, wanting to eat more food than my body needs, and having a lot of trouble falling asleep. What helps me to cope with this confinement is to support myself with the people I live with, talk to my friends, my boyfriend and my partner.
